Michael T. Dandurand

Michael T. Dandurand is an Associate at the law office of Slaymaker and Nelson, P.A., whose practice areas include Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Guardianship, Elder Law and Medicaid Planning.

 

Michael graduated from Barry University School of Law in May of 2016 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in September of 2016.  While at Barry University, he was an associate editor for the Children and Families Law Journal and a Senior Clinician for the Earth and Environmental Law Clinic.  Michael also completed an externship for the Orange County Guardian ad Litem Program prior to graduation.

 

Michael started his legal career as a program attorney with the Citrus County Guardian ad Litem Program where he focused on advocating for the best interest of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in the Florida Dependency System.  After three years with the Guardian ad Litem Program, he joined Slaymaker and Nelson, P.A.  Today, Michael assists clients with their estate planning, probate, and elder care needs, which include Medicaid planning and Guardianship.

 

True to his roots, however, Michael continues to accept court appointments  within the Florida Dependency System as Counsel for Children with Special Needs.

Michael has come to call Citrus County his home, where he and his wife, Marissa, are raising their three children and two dogs in Citrus Hills Area.  He is active in the community, serving on various boards and volunteer organizations such as the Rotary Club of Inverness.
